The much anticipated “opening weekend” for pickerel has come and gone. Even though the weather was about as bad as it could have been the quiet town of Gowganda was alive with eager fishermen .  For the brave that ventured out in their boats into the cold steady rain many returned with their fish ..  In camp we had some nice Northern Pike, Smallmouth bass and Walleye brought in for that first fishfry of the season.

Thanks to all that ventured north to share your long weekend with us and we will put in for better weather next spring.
